HOLIDAY SCHEDULE AND CLOSURES:

October 14, 2024 CLOSED (Thanksgiving Holiday)

December 18, 2024 last day to see a doctor and pick up and medication/birth control

December 19-20, 2024 you can call for results only

December 21, 2024-January 1, 2025 CLOSED (Holiday closure)

January 2, 2025 Open for medication pick up and booking appointments for following week (NO DOCTOR)

January 6, 2025 First Day of Clinic with the Doctors

APPOINTMENT/CANCELLATION POLICY:

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT HAS BEEN BOOKED, YOU WILL BE CALLED TO COMPLETE YOUR INTAKE OVER THE PHONE 1-3 DAYS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT. IF YOU MISS THE CALL, YOU NEED TO CALL BACK. IF IT IS INCOMPLETE YOUR APPOINTMENT WILL BE CANCELLED. 

EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2022 WE HAVE A NEW CANCELLATION/LATE POLICY:

  • You are asked to come 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment. Unfortunately, due to the volume of patients, if you are late for your appointment we will cancel your appointment and you will have to re-book for another day (Thursdays our usual appointment booking day).  
  • You must cancel your appointment 24 hours advanced notice. We understand that emergencies may arise, so please inform us as soon as possible.
  • If we see a repeated pattern of cancellations or no shows (3 or more), we will no longer book you at the clinic.

 

 

MASK MANDATES:

IWHC Toronto requires anyone coming into the clinic to wear a mask. The province of Ontario is lifting the mask mandates as of March 21, 2022 but we will not. As a healthcare clinic our main concern is the health and safety of our patients and our staff. Please be advised you will be required to wear a mask at the clinic until further notice.

 

COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

Please do not come to the clinic, if:

    • You are sick i.e. you have a fever, dry cough, difficulty breathing, body aches, sore throat, runny nose, pink eye (conjunctivitis), nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, extreme fatigue
    • You have been exposed to a known COVID-19 case
    • You have traveled outside Canada in the last 14 days

CLOSED SATURDAY & SUNDAY

Clinical Services are, but not limited to:

  • Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) testing, treatment and counselling
  • Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) testing and counselling (nominal only)
  • Syphilis testing, treatment and counselling
  • Hepatitis Blood work, Vaccination for Hepatitis B
  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV) testing, treatment, vaccination, counselling
  • Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) testing, treatment and counselling
  • Infection testing, treatment and counselling
  • Pap smear tests (Done every 3 years after age 25 and you are sexually active for 1 year)
  • Birth Control prescriptions, treatment, counselling and low cost sales including Plan B
  • Intrauterine Device (IUD), Intrauterine System (IUS) insertions, same day insertions, follow up, removal counselling and sales
  • Implant removals

SAME DAY IUD/IUS INSERTION POLICY:

  • IUD/IUS insertion spots are limited to a few spots Monday-Thursday
  • For IUS (Hormonal Device) no sex without condoms for 2 weeks prior to your appointment/visit, device can be purchased at our clinic (Mirena and Kyleena for 375$ cash only)
  • IUD (Copper Device) no sex without condoms for 2 weeks prior to appointment/visit OR you may come within 5 days of having sex without condoms to get a post coital (after sex, emergency birth control) insertion. The device can be purchased at our clinic (Mona Lisa 75$ cash only)
  • Insertions are not guaranteed if any concerns arise from physician assessment
  • A urine pregnancy test must be done at our clinic right before insertion

Other Information:

  • Until further notice the walk in clinic is suspended due to COVID-19
  • We are seeing patients by appointment only. Please call for an appointment as we book quickly.
  • Appointments are 15 minutes only, your intake will be done over the phone at least one day prior to your visit. If you do not answer the intake call we will cancel your appointment and you will need to re-book. If you are late, even by a few minutes you will need to re-book as well. If you are booked for a phone consult with the physician, the physician will call you as close as possible to your appointment time. If you miss the call from the physician then you will need to re-book
  • Physicians are available Monday-Thursday
  • Birth Control will not be sold after 4:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; and after 6:00pm on Wednesday.
  • There are no returns on any medication sold by our clinic
